Glenyss is a nurse, having trained at Christchurch Hospital. She completed a Post Graduate diploma in Plastic Surgery from Burwood Hospital, Christchurch.
In 1966 Glenyss went to Papua New Guinea to work in a small mission hospital. She and Duncan met there, returned to NZ and married in 1969.
After their 2 daughters grew up, she worked as the office administrator at the Hastings Christian School. She retired from this position at the end of 2005, and is working at building up the Singapore Math business.
Last year Duncan and Glenyss were given the opportunity to become the Australasian distributors of SingaporeMath. It has been a very new venture for them both, and with Duncan’s input from the education side, and Glenyss able to order stock and send out orders, it has been a very enjoyable experience. They look forward to a growing interest in this excellent mathematics curriculum.
Duncan tutors French, English and other primary school subjects, and also teaching English as a Second Language to new immigrants.
